High Speed Rail
The prospective public transportation system consists of retrofitting the current tracks by keeping the Elevated Train tracks intact and initially adding two additional levels on top of it. However, levels can be added as needed and as population and urban density increases. As is true in today’s society, the original elevated level will be used to accommodate commuter passengers. The middle plane will be used for commercial transportation. These commercial train cars consist of several smaller cars that can be taken off the track in order to unload things such as produce, mail delivery and cargo. The top level is reserved as a covered biking terminal, encouraging commuters to bike to work instead of by automobile.
